BLS Freight Farm

Our Freight Farm at Boston Latin School is a student-run sustainability learning experience. 

We are BLS students committed to an ongoing project to bring sustainable produce to our school and community. We work in the freight farm not only just to plant seeds and grow food, but also to learn about the world around us and what we can do to help it. Outside of the farm, we work on outreach to educate the community on what we do and how they could help to participate in our journey to make the world around us greener and better. In addition, we also distribute food on harvest days to the farmers, students, and faculty of the school, who all help to make this possible. We also donate some of the harvest to our local food pantry to help those who don't have the ability to choose to eat healthier and greener options.
